2 Chronicles 16:9a—For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

I remember when my boys were young, they used to love to play the game ‘hide and seek’. It is where one faces a wall or a tree and covers his eyes and counts to 10, while the other runs and finds a place to hide. Then the one counting would turn around and search for the ‘hider’. They even played a version of this in the darkness of their rooms with a flashlight. One would be the leader and the follower would try to catch his light up to the leaders, and then it would be their turn.
In a sense we all have played ‘hide and seek’ with God. We have all done things in our lives (sins) that we hoped that would not be noticed. My boys would try to hide things that they had broken hoping that I would not notice it missing, as they did not want to be disciplined for their actions, In time they had learned that it is far better to come to me and tell the truth. Sometimes they would receive mercy and sometimes even with mercy they would have to pay some consequence.
God has made it very clear to us in His Word the Bible that there is nothing that is hidden from Him.
Proverbs 15:3—The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
1 Peter 3:12—For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Psalm 33:18—But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love.
Let’s keep a clean slate before God daily, and accept that His lovingkindness IS BETTER THAN LIFE. (Psalm 63:3)
