Hebrews 2:3-4—how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will.

We are bombarded daily with informational signs: Enter here, Exit there, Wrong way, Road Closed, Speed Limit, School Crossing, Merging Traffic, Construction Zone, Highway Signs, Street Signs, Stop Signs….well you get the drift. We may get frustrated sometimes by these signs but in reality we know that they are there for our good. They keep mishaps from occurring. And they do tell us to obey, just ask any officer of the law what happens if we choose not to heed these signs.

As Christians, it is all the more important that we look for and obey the signs that God gives us throughout His Word the Bible. He has not left us in this evil world hopeless with no way to obey His Truths. His Word is full of instruction and illustrations that help us to know and keep our Christian lives out of peril.

When we find ourselves feeling depressed, or bombarded with negative situations, may we remember that He tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6–Trust in the Lord with All your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.
