The vision for the media ministry is to bring the worship and the teaching to the body of Christ in a behind-the-scenes, non-distracting way. This ministry is tied with just about everything that happens when the body meets. In this ministry, as well as just about any ministry, it is very important to know who you are serving; God and the body of Christ.
Those involved in this ministry should be (or become) computer literate, focused, and familiar with the worship songs we sing at Calvary Chapel Greeneville. From Song Presentation during the worship service to Power Point Presentation during the message, careful attention to every detail and not allowing yourself to become distracted is essential. Recording the message to the computer and burning CD copies for the congregation are also key essentials of this ministry.
This ministry directly correlates with the web ministry as the recorded message goes out to the world through the internet and through podcasts, with the potential of reaching hundreds of thousands of individuals.
Scriptures – There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god. Romans 10:17
Responsibilities – Media ministry members will learn to operate the presentation software on the computer during the worship service and the teaching service. Members will copy CD’s for the service to make them available to the congregation. They will also be responsible for making a backup recording of the message on the computer as well as being responsible for the sanctuary lighting.
