Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace.
Forgiveness is an important topic, one that everyone needs to know about, especially when it comes to the forgiveness of sins. It is a known fact that all of us sin. We are imperfect human beings and sin is just in our nature. The good news is that through repentance and a relationship with Christ Jesus we can have forgiveness for our sins. A lot of times though, people will choose to turn away from Christ and not seek a relationship with Him. All simply because they feel that the sins they have committed are too great for God to forgive. Because we as humans struggle with forgiveness and have trouble forgiving our fellow man we think, how could God possibly forgive me after the horrible things I have done? The answer is simple. It’s because God is far greater then we are. He has great love and compassion for us. He knows that we are human and often make mistakes. After all, He is the one who made us. Remember, there is no sin that God won’t forgive. If you don’t believe me just look at some of the greatest men from the Bible. Like King David for instance. He committed adultery and had a man killed yet through his repenting of his sins God forgave him and went on to bless him immensely. Then there was Saul, who later became best known as Paul, one of the most prolific men of the whole Bible. Well that is next to Christ Jesus who of course is the most important figure in the whole Bible. For whom before he came to Christ and repented did more horrible things then one could even fathom. Such as the persecution and murder of many many Christian. An in my opinion there is no sin worse then murder. However, the Bible says God views all sins the same and no one sin is greater then another. God forgave Saul aka Paul and he went on to have one of the biggest and greatest ministries ever seen that is still impacting and speaking to people today. After all he did write much of the Bible’s new testament. So if God can forgive those men of their great sins, He can forgive you of yours. All you have to do is ask.
